Our school needs your support! 
We are writing to request your support for our fundraising efforts this year. Last year, with the help of local businesses and supporters, we were able to raise funds to supplement the public school budget for Capitol Hill programs. Field trips, classroom supplies, PE equipment, and a musical artist in residence are just a few of the things our fundraising efforts have helped to provide. 

 

Our primary fundraising event is our Annual Capitol Hill Auction which will be held Saturday, March 9, 2018 at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center. For this event we rely on donations from businesses like yours to help us raise money to provide programs that would not otherwise be possible within the current Portland Public School budget. This year the money raised will once again enable us to continue programs otherwise lost, and to enrich the educational atmosphere at Capitol Hill.

 

Did you know that one out of every five students at Capitol Hill qualifies for free and reduced lunch programs? That reality underscores the fact that every penny counts to benefit all children in our community. How could your business be involved in our fundraising efforts?  Among our most popular auction items are gift certificates and other product items from local businesses, entertainment and sporting tickets, trips and getaways, and one-of-a-kind experiences. We are also open to your creative donation ideas. We would love to partner with you to enhance the learning environment for our students—and to raise the profile of your business.

 

Our auction marketing reaches the families of more than 450 students currently enrolled at Capitol Hill, along with alumni and friends residing in Southwest Portland. Because this is our highest profile event of the year, your donation will not go unnoticed and your support is sincerely appreciated.  Sponsorship opportunities also exist to expand your exposure to our community. In return for your generous donation, your name will appear in all print, web and other auction communication if received prior to the February 8, 2019 deadline.
