The Plan: OMSI will fill tables with amazingly fun interactive Science equipment and challenges guaranteed to thrill youngsters, perplex adults and offer an unforgettable science experience. There will also be a fun Science Demonstration on the stage at 6pm.

Who Can Come: All Capitol Hill & Markham Families Welcome! 

Cost: FREE! This is a PTA sponsored event using funds raised from an OMSI Auction Special Appeal! Money raised at our auction allows the PTA to host fun and FREE events like this for our community!

• May 8th: Last Meeting of the Year, We will vote on board members for next year and approve our budget

The PTA believes that EVERY CHILD should receive a yearbook. 

We use PTA funds to buy yearbooks for every student at our school each year for FREE. 

Yearbooks will be passed out during the last week of school but for now...

PICTURES NEEDED!!

If your child was not a student at Capitol Hill for picture day, please send a photo of your child so they can be in the yearbook! 

5th Grade Families: Please email baby photos of your student.

We are so excited to have so many new faces volunteering for next year's PTA board! We will vote on new board members at the May PTA meeting. 

We are still looking for 2 Volunteer Coordinators. If you are interested in learning about the position or the time commitment, please reach out to Jill Morgan or Kate Gannon Sprinkel at volunteer@capitolhillelementary.com. 

We are also looking for lead volunteer for the following:

Our AMAZING art teacher, Ms. Anderson, is bringing back our Capitol Hill Art Show! The school will become a museum filled with artwork from our amazing students. The walls will be covered in their incredible artwork! 

In order to make this museum happen, we need some volunteers to help us get the artwork ready to show. 

Join one of the MANY art show work parties at school and help us mount artwork on colorful paper. This is a great volunteer opportunity for working parents because it happens outside of work hours. Kids are welcome - don't stress about child care - bring them to the work party and let them help too!

Avast ye, me hearties! Gather 'round and hear me tale! The PTA be thrilled to announce that the Missoula Children’s Theater be set to land on the shores of our school to cast a performance of the legendary Treasure Island! From the first casting call to the final curtain, it be a whirlwind adventure, all happenin' within the span of a single week, kickin' off on Monday the 13th of May.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS coming soon but RIGHT NOW we are in need of:

1) a pianist for the performances on 5/17 and 5/18 - is this you or do you know someone? Please let me know!

2) do you have an ADU or private space with 2 bedrooms that you'd be willing to donate to the 2 directors for the week of 5/13-5/18? Please let me know and thanks!

Our Staff Appreciation Team has been working hard all year to show our teachers and staff how much we love and appreciate all they do for our kids. They have brought morning snacks and coffee as well as after school snacks for staff meetings.

The PTA Website is full of great information and now has a new Resources tab. There you will find PTA meeting minutes, treasurer's reports, calendars, newsletters, the PTA reimbursement form and the Staff Favorite Things List. 

Say what you will about social media ... but it is a great way to get information out to lots of people quickly! For this reason, our PTA is on both Facebook and Instagram. Our Parents Facebook page is also a great place for parents to post questions and get information about things happening in our community. 

It is also a great way to see old photos from PTA events if you are new to our school. ◡̈
