The Plan: Volunteers will turn our school into a museum filled with amazing art by our Capitol Hill students! Take a walk through art history and let your student show off their amazing artwork from this school year.

Who Can Come: Everyone is welcome! Bring the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins ... everyone is welcome to view our Capitol Hill Museum

Cost: FREE! Thank you to all our volunteers and to Ms. Anderson, our amazing art teacher, for helping make this event amazing for our community!

Art Show Prep Volunteers Needed

The art show will have over 800 pieces of artwork to display. All pieces need to be mounted, labeled and hung around the school. That takes a lot of volunteer power.

Please sign up to help at a prep night (6:30 - 7:30 and kids are welcome and can be very helpful too!) or sign up to help set up on May 1st as we get the school ready.

Capitol Hill Reads Night

Our Capitol Hill Equity Team will be choosing a children's book for our entire community to engage in! On April 18th, everyone is welcome to virtually join Principal Sauers as he announces and reads the book aloud. Our Capitol Hill Librarian, Ms. Wutzke, will have a recorded reading of the book for those who cannot join the virtual event.

This is Capitol Hill's first attempt in creating a unifying experience focused on reading and equity. As a school we will be engaging in meaningful dialogue in each of our classrooms. We encourage families to read the book together and join us in this experience!

Staff Appreciation Team

PTA Website Resources

The PTA Website is full of great information and now has a new Resources tab. There you will find PTA meeting minutes, treasurer's reports, calendars, newsletters, the PTA reimbursement form and the Staff Favorite Things List.

Capitol Hill on Instagram and Facebook

Say what you will about social media ... but it is a great way to get information out to lots of people quickly! For this reason, our PTA is on both Facebook and Instagram. Our Parents Facebook page is also a great place for parents to post questions and get information about things happening in our community.

It is also a great way to see old photos from PTA events if you are new to our school. ◡̈
