PTA Meeting 1/19/2022 @ 6:30 pm

Join Us for our First PTA Meeting of 2022

Please join us for our monthly PTA meeting online. PTA meetings are a great way to get connected with the community, ask questions of other parents and of school staff and find ways to get involved at school right now. You are welcome to attend whether you are a member or not (although of course we would love everyone to sign up to join the PTA at www.capitolhillelementary.com).

We will use Zoom to host our meeting. Click here or go to bit.ly/CapHillPTA at 6:30 on Wednesday, January 19th. We are looking forward to seeing new and returning parents there!

Casino Night School Auction!

Save the Date:Saturday, April 9th

The auction committee is working hard to create an amazing virtual auction! Keep an eye out for your Save the Date this week!

We are in need of donations! Do you own a vacation home? Do you have sports tickets? Do you have a business that would like to donate?

We are in need of sponsorships! Do you know/have a business that would like to get their name out in our community and support our school? Sponsorships are a great way to both!

If you would like to be a part of the auction team or if you would like to donate or sponsor, please contact the auction chairs at auctionche@gmail.com

PTA Clothing Center Drive

The PTA Clothing Center operates at the Marshall High School Campus in Portland and serves over 2,000 students each year, providing them with clothing and shoes - and they need our help! The Capitol Hill PTA invites you to support the District PTA Clothing Center by donating new socks, underwear and gloves - the items most critical at this time. The process is simple - we have created a shared Amazon wish list (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/Q01B4I94WTHZ?ref_=wl_share) - you simply make your purchase and the item(s) will be delivered to a local volunteer who will deliver all goods to the Clothing Center.

Please make all purchases no later than January 28, 2022.

Feel free to share this link with friends and family. We know there are many students in need throughout our district and we are glad we can help support this amazing service PPS provides to our community.

You can learn more about the PTA Clothing Center here:  https://portlandcouncilpta.org/pta-clothing-center.  Thank you for supporting these PPS students!

Please contact Marianne Majors at vicepresident@capitolhillelementary.com or Melissa Hamilton at comm@capitolhillelementary.com with questions.

Teacher's & Staff List of Favorite Things

If you are ever in the mood to spoil a special teacher or staff member, you have come to the right link! The PTA asked teachers and staff members to fill out a list of some of their favorite things. There are gift card ideas, coffees they love and so much more. You can access the list by going to: bit.ly/CHFavThings

Staff Appreciation Fund

The PTA works hard to support our teachers and staff in so many ways ... and we have found that little treats in the staff room with notes saying we appreciate them really makes a big difference! With your donations, we have sent cookies, candies, fizzy drinks, popcorn, chips, tea, coffee and so much more! Thank you for helping us treat our amazing staff.

If you would like to donate to the staff appreciation fund, go to:

www.capitolhillelementary.com

and click the ‘Donate’ button. Thank you for helping us make sure our staff feel loved and appreciated throughout the year!
