PTA Digital Newsletter

Please join us for our monthly PTA meeting online. PTA meetings are a great way to get connected with the community, ask questions of other parents and of school staff and find ways to get involved at school right now. You are welcome to attend whether you are a member or not (although of course we would love everyone to sign up to join the PTA at www.capitolhillelementary.com).

Spring is around the corner and the teachers would love some helping getting the garden ready for a spring planting. Bring your favorite weeding, pruning and trimming supplies to tame the PNW jungle that our garden has become. The staff and students will really appreciate it. Sunday, February 20th, 10:00am-12:30pm

The auction committee is working hard to create an amazing virtual auction! Keep an eye out for your Save the Date this week! 

We are in need of donations! Do you own a vacation home? Do you have sports tickets? Do you have a business that would like to donate?

We are in need of sponsorships! Do you know/have a business that would like to get their name out in our community and support our school? Sponsorships are a great way to both!

Our PTA Clothing Center Drive was a big success! Our community donated approximately 90 pairs of underwear, 98 pairs of socks and 12 pairs of gloves. These donations went to the PTA Clothing Center which provides PPS families in need with a comfortable place to find new and used clothes. Thank you for helping our school give back to this amazing community service. 

Starting March 1st, the PTA will be selling Capitol Hill Sprit Wear shirts for kids and adults. Be on the lookout for more information to come! 

The PTA works hard to support our teachers and staff in so many ways ... and we have found that little treats in the staff room with notes saying we appreciate them really makes a big difference! With your donations, we have sent cookies, candies, fizzy drinks, popcorn, chips, tea, coffee and so much more! Thank you for helping us treat our amazing staff.
