Below are a few of the most popular options; however, this is far from a comprehensive list of activities. The PTA takes no responsibility for these programs, their pricing, availability or anything else, we are simply providing some information for you to investigate and consider for your family. Spring Term Aerospace Engineering (All Grades)

Available for all Elementary grades. Up Up and Away! Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They construct a shock absorbing system designed to protect two marshmallow astronauts in a lunar vehicle, create their own air powered rockets, and assemble a model blimp that actually takes flight!

SW Portland Little League (all ages)

SW Portland Little League (SWPLL) is a non-profit provider of baseball and softball programs in SW Portland, Oregon. SWPLL is chartered by Little League International. Little League is a leadership program that utilizes baseball/softball as a way for players (and coaches) to learn this valuable skill. Our program is designed to be both instructional and fun. The objective is to teach fundamental skills and promote good sportsmanship and fair play. Play ball!

Educational Minecraft: Traveling to the Future (1st - 5th)

This class will immerse students in the expansive world of Minecraft, and will challenge student’s ingenuity and problem solving skills as they navigate through several engineering challenges. Students will learn how to use teamwork and manage resources like an engineer in the real world.

Building in Minecraft allows students to experiment with designs and materials, all without the risks associated with building structures in reality.
